Thanks for the offer Mary, and the kind words Bill, Rusty, Bruce and Kathleen. As some of you know, our daughter has triplets who just turned three. She carried them to 34 weeks. Just 4 months before she conceived the triplets, she gave birth to her first son Christopher, but at 30 weeks he was still born. Needless to say, it has been a tough 5 years. We moved to Tennessee to help. She has a horse farm and boards horses for people. Her husband is a pilot for a corporate executive jet firm. He is gone 8 days and home 7. Things can get pretty tough during the 8 days when he isn't home to help with the kids. That's where we come in, along with cutting fields, feeding horses, etc. We had hoped that his schedule would put him home during the DC GTG, but he'll be gone the entire time that we would be gone. We can't do it. Our daughter wants us to go, but, we just think the right thing to do is to be here, just in case. Thanks all.

Any sensible person would make the same decision that you two have made and I respect you for it.

I'm trying to get Tere to go without me. I told her she could caravan with Mary Ray and the worst thing that could happen is that one of them would break down and they would still have a back up. Maybe some of you can 'encourage' her to do it.

As some of you know, I had shoulder surgery this summer that I had hoped would be less of a problem. We just came back from a weekend trip to Estes Park, CO and I've come to the painful (literally) conclusion that we won't be able to make the GC GTG. We are now less than a month away from departure and I still can't drive longer than about 30 minutes. Most of this is due to very poor sleep. At this point, I can't drive the Stagecoach at all due to the surgery and the coach has been stuck in service since I can't drive it home. That is the only positive, it has been garaged for over two months.

For anyone still on the fence about going, this GTG should be awesome and there is a prime spot on Barth Avenue now available.

I have no room in my coach (unless one wants to share bedding with Maggie Mae - it's been done!) But no toast to "wotsizname" unless Tere arrives! Of course, if Certain People don't come to the GTG, we'll have someone to gossip about. ROTFLMAO

C'mon, Tere, you're a great asset for Barthers!

I'd like to put in my request for site 24 if available. It may be possible to park our trailer on the lot next to it.

Thanks,
Corey

Okay, I've updated the listing at the top of this page. I'm sorry you can't make it Bill (towerguy), as I know you were looking forward to this GTG. Hope your health gets up to par real soon! Thumbs Up
I see that there are (5) BEAUTIFUL BARTH-view sites for rent. That's right, in just a mere 30 days YOU could be sitting on Barth Blvd. with all your Barthmobile friends and family in wonderful Cherry Hill Park in our nations capital, Washington D.C. cheers So, what are you waiting for? Confused These opportunities are like some of the recent planet observations....once in a lifetime! Don't miss it. nono Make plans now to join the rest of us for a wonderful weekend in DC. Just an update.....Stopped by & chatted with Janice, C.H. Mgr, today to see what's happenin' at her end......Things sound good-to-go.....

She plans to try and keep Barth Blvd SOB-Free starting about Tuesday the 6th. 1400 series sites will be either empty or Barth occupied during GTG.

To the extent possible, everyone will have the site they've requested and as shown on Bill's layout pic.

The triangle-shaped grass area adjacent to site 1423 (Lee) is actually a campsite, and has been comp'd to us for use as Barth Central for firepit, sightseeing info, cart shuttle, etc.

Shoot me a PM with any special requests you may have and I'll try to make it happen.......

Lee,

I can't remember how to do a Private Message, but wonder if you could ask the manager is there will be a place near our site for me to park our 16' enclosed trailer?

We are in #24 and I was hoping to find room in the space beside us.

Thanks!
Corey
