Cap & Connie, First of all, don't be intimidated because you haven't been to a GTG yet. You will have a ball, and you won't have to worry about being newbees, since a lot of others will be first timers too. The following is for everyone, not just you.
Bring food for yourselves for Friday night. We are doing a wandering feast and libation tour but it is all very casual and will be what it will be.
Campfires are allowed on every site, and somehow we seem to wind up at Jim and Patty's, but that isn't chiseled in stone.
Saturday night dinner is in a screened in pavilion with a nice big fireplace. Not sure what the regs will be regarding firewood so if you want to bring some packaged firelogs please do!
We'll have a portable CD player available so bring your favorite Christmas CDs for dinner music.
As far as food goes, my mantra has been bring enough of something really good for 8-10 people, and if past experience counts, we won't starve.
I plan on bringing a couple commercial style sterno plates for things that have to stay warm, but the more you can do for yourselves, the better.
The best thing about this is we have over a week and then friday and saturday to get it together, and I'm confident everyone will have a blast!

Danny my son and I can set up a computer with Christmas songs and would be very happy to do so.
I will run through my Boze radio so it is very compact and easy to transport.

Mary Ray told me she was doing a shake-down run yesterday but I haven't heard any results. Hope everything was OK!

Just a reminder. Click Only a couple of days left to look through the house and find that ideal Christmas gift for your Barth friends. Remember, you can't go buy anything. Oh, and that Bottle of 25 year old Scotch is probably in the liquor cabinet. cheers. See ya this weekend. Tooling Along

Good luck Cap. Any spot you can get in for Friday would be walking distance, it's not that big of a park. Today's weather report sounds pretty good for Saturday and Sunday, but still kind of chilly by our standards.

Mary, you keep getting earlier, so what are your plans for Tuesday and wednesday? O'Leno State Park is nice and right on the way. Off at mm414 and back on at mm399. You're just running parallel to 75 for that run. Very easy driving. Another recommendation is Suwanee River State park. You can jump off 75 north of I4 and cruise through some beautiful country roads, then re-join the ratrace south of I4 by going through Live Oak. Just some food for thought.
