Patch1st located someone at Milford I who delivered a utility trailer load for $75.

I'm sure we'll start menu planning as Milford II approaches.

Good idea on the proceeds from the auction, MR. I've started rounding some things up already.

Is there an auctioneer in the house?

I'm an old auctioner, license expired, too old to call, but we are not planning to come to Milford.

Hey Nick! We made our reservations at the fairground today. Lou tells me you might be holding #429 for us. If not, please grab one from the bucket for us and let me know. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of folks at the GTG.
Thanks a lot.

Hank, 429 is all yours. Hope more of the Rangers can make the GTG. Meeting and talking to the former employees is a lot of fun.

Just in case a Barth GTG is not quite enough for any of you attending the Milford GTG, I received a nice phone call and invitation from Lester Potteiger inviting our Barthmobiler's to stay over for the RVFEST 2012 which will be at the fairgrounds immediately following our GTG. The following is a copy of the email I received from him.

Hi Nick,

Great talking to you today. As I said in my message, Tanya Swihart of the Fairgrounds gave me your name and number. RVFEST 2012 is the third annual fun and fellowship rally beginning on 17 June and ending on 24 June this year. Our first RVFEST 2010 was attended by 80 units and RVFEST 2011 by 54 units. Don't know what the cost of fuel is going to do to this years rally! You mentioned about some of your members coming in early. I believe they will have to pay the going rate at the Fairgrounds - if they stayed over, they would have seven additiional nights at the rally rate and enjoy the amenities that we provide.

By way of background, my wife Jean and I were the International Events Managers (Wagon Masters) for the Gulf Streamers International RV Club of Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. from 1999 to April 2010. When the Gulf Streamers Club cancelled for the second year in a row, their 'Back Home in Indiana' rally, we were asked to put together a rally so that members could get together, renew old friendships and have lots of fun and fellowship. A prerequiste that we established was that it be inexpensive, relying on rally attendees to volunteer to assist. So we did the first year at $250 for two, the second for $275 for two and now this year, $295 for two. The rally attracts owners of all brands - Gulf Stream units make up perhaps 75% of those in attendance. Highlights of the rally are shown here and an application is attached.

RVFEST 2012

WHAT: The third annual inexpensive, international rally for all RVers.

VOLUNTEERS: Rally attendees!

Free for children 12 and under.

Okay, I want to make sure I have this right. First make a reservation with the fairgrounds, then get assigned a sight right here? Will it be a problem to stay only two nights? Is there any cost beyond the camping? Will there be organized events, our will everyone just be hanging out? My family and I are excited to meet ask of you. We are new to rvs and look forward to some camaraderie with other Barth owners.

Welcome to the Forums!

That's all there is to it: call the campgrounds first. There is no deposit. Just register and plan to pay-in-full when you arrive. Then contact Nick Cagle and he will assign you a spot. Either click on his name and send a Private Message or simply do a post the same way you did this one. You can choose from the remaining sites as shown on the list. (Scroll up.) Two nights are fine, but we may ask you to switch later on before you get here if we have to acommodate someone who can take what you don't. You'll find we are quite flexible. It should be a well-attended event as we are asking former employees to attend on Saturday. We'll have a lunch followed by an ice cream social for all. Then we get into an auction to re-supply the coffers of Barthmobile.com.

There are no other activities planned. We find it worthwhile to just spend the time with each other learning about the Barth coaches. No other charges, either.

We look forward to meeting you. When you get a chance,
let us know the make & model of your coach....either thru a picture or description, or both. A picture of the data plate will help immensely (usually somewhere behind the driver either on the partition or wall).

Lou

Looks like 30 or so, (who's gonna drive Bill's new rig out there?) Looking forward to meeting more Barth folks. I must "spruce up" my rig for the big show!

Another beautiful day in the Keys. Worked on Barth today. Drain/change ATF put in a temp gauge in the trans pan instead of cooler line. (Barth likes Florida, it's like spinach for Popeye!)
