I have bought a new A/C and am getting to install it. Any tricks or hints that I should watch out for would be appriciated. Bought a new Carrier V for $400..

Russ, it's a pretty straightforward job. Handling the bulky units is the big deal. Be sure to use a new foam seal. Now is the time to really clean around the hole in the roof and apply a good sealer around the flange.I would put a coat or two of roof paint on the shroud if it is plastic to protect from sun UV.

What made you buy a Carrier?
