I think I heard early on that someone had all of or what there is of the factory build files from Barth and decided to not share. Is this true? If yes, has any recent attempt been made to see if that situation has changed? Just curious.

That's correct - there have been many attempts by members of the now-defunct Barth Rangers to get the individual who is hoarding these to share, but he refuses.

That's really sad. Probably, the only people that are at all interested in them would be Barth owners. And in another 10 or 20 years, there won't be many of us left.
