For all you pet lovers, you must watch the movie "Up". It's a cartoon, Disney, but you will not be disappointed.

Thank you all for your kind expressions of sympathy. We are slowly getting over our loss.

Thank God there aren't any airedales around. I would probably come unglued if I saw one.

Bill, we felt the same way for a while, and the first few times we saw a beagle it was kinda hard. But now we are glad when we see one, and we try to meet the owner and get a beagle fix. Smiler

When my beloved Barney died, it was two weeks before Maggie and I could get little Casey...that was a LONG two weeks...

This time when Maggie left (after three or four "almosts" over 4 years), I was (more-or-less) prepared. Casey picked out Nelson only a couple of days later. Nelson's been wonderful, and has helped keep our minds off the loss of our sweetheart.

I think it will be a few months before we are ready for another Airedale. At least, that was how it went last time. I recall it was easier to lose a dog when another was still alive. We still have Calvin, the Siamese, but, as good a cat as she is, she is a poor substitute.
