I hope this finds all my friends on Barthmobile and those friends we haven’t met yet. Here is to wishing you all a Happy Forth of July. Be safe and hopefully you are all well happy and healthy. sorry that’s as close to fireworks as I could get.

Do me a favor. Those of you that knew SteveVW. Take a moment to send Liz some love. You all know his pontoon fireworks on their lake. They are continuing the tradition. The guy who has his plane is dropping some of his ashes. If your there close your mouth or he’ll be with you internally! SteveVW always appreciated my humor.

Memorial Service Tomorrow for Steve. Send Liz good vibes and prayers.

What happened to Steve? He wasn't the old was he. Only a few years ago he was talking about working on his dad's boat. He will be missed!

Steve and Liz were one of the most competent, in sync and together couples Connie and I have ever met. Then it dawned on us that a whole lot of Barthmobile couples are like that. Maybe life partners who are truly wonderful people and most importantly really great friends, who understand and support each other’s passions and interests, and occasional less thought out follies make the best Barth owners. They certainly make the best friends and marriages.

Steve was an experienced scientist, an accomplished teacher, and a deep thinker who understood how all things work (and if he didn’t know, he’d just figure it out). He also was totally in touch with, if not totally in control of his inner teenager. This 4th of July reminded me of the photos he posted of the tiny fire work pontoon boat that he and his neighbors used to stage and setoff seriously dangerous pyrotechnic displays every 4th of July. A few adult beverages to steady the nerves, anchored well out in the lake for safety's sake, what could possibly go wrong. They put on miraculous shows, had an equally miraculous track record of no fatalities, satisfied everyone’s inner child, and lived life fully and built lasting memories chock full of fun and awe.

All who knew Steve will miss him. All who knew him are better and happier for having known him, and for having shared some of life’s good times with him.

Our hearts and thoughts are with Liz as she moves through the difficult grieving process and navigates a new world without the love of her life and best friend. She was his guiding star and together they shared their lives' great adventures.

Connie and Wally
