Had I remembered that, I would have used that for a color scheme for at least a few hours. I wanted to do something that would be a throwback to an "older system".

I can't take full credit for this... A "Basement Dweller" reminded me of DOS86 when I was testing the white text with black & grey background.

I am sure with a whole year to think about it that your devious little mind will come up with something, if not surely someone will help you with some kind of off the wall design. You will really have to go to some extreme to top this one, next year we will be ready.
