Sky, I am currently at the Tin Cup cafe parking lot at Del Norte, CO. Owner said it is ok.

Going to park here a night or two to explore the San Luis Valley, including Alampsa area, since I have never been there. There is a train ride from Antonito that looks interesting.

I past the Gunnison turnoff on 185 back a bit.

I was on a fast track for home, but changed my mind while eating at the Tin Cup. Isn't RVing wonderful for that?

A caution:

Since Gunnison was mentioned, the water there used to be explosive.

It caused what was known as the Gunnison Blitz.

Gary, we went to the Black Canyon NP and the Great Sand Dunes NP today and curently in Alamosa, Co tonight and will drive to Durango tomorrow. Anne wants to ride the train from Durango to Silverton, if we can get tickets.

This evening she informed me that she was supposed to attent a training classs in ABQon the 9th, so that might change some of the plans, but NOTHING is keeping me away from the baloon festival next week.
Take care and happy motoring. sky
