THANK YOU

I have thought about a what brand and kind or rv and quality level

1.0

we most likely are not going to drive it except possibly to Florida for the next 5 or so years . i am 83 so ???

2.0 somewhere from 1990-2005 -2010 seams like a reasonable value .

3.0 Barth has spoiled us , we don't want junk . too old for a fixer up er

3.0 for some reason i dont want the third , tag axle ..

4.0 maybe 30-40 feet , with a separate bedroom and a walk around bed .. but this may be a apx 35 foot single rear axle

5.prevost just seams like $10000 repair cost waiting to happen

6.0 " always stored inside "
has a nice ring to it and may be worth an additional
$10,000 or more .

brands i have considered
Barth
foretravel
bluebird
holiday rambler ....? but is there a difference in quality level indifferent models of holiday ramblers ??
other brands

so does any one have opinion

Holiday Rambler before Harley Davidson owned them, or after Monaco owned them.

I like the 90-something Country Coach.

Foretravel makes a nice coach too but beware of their introduction into multiplexing, unreliable and almost unsupported so there again 90’s to early 2000’s

Winnebago builds them well and has all support information online back to the 90’s. Electrical diagrams forChassis and house, plumbing schematics and a lot more.

I concur with the Bluebird recommendation and staying away from the Prevost because even though us is extremely well built, they do wear out and are expensive to repair.

Finally, someone listed a ‘98 Barth on this site a couple of weeks ago.

Happy hunting!

Our 1994 Bluebird BMC was 37 feet long . It had the 8.3 mechanical engine and 6 speed Allison transmission in the Spartan chassis . It was very well built and nice . It does have the walk around queen bed . It would be comfortable to spend extended periods of time . We sold it to get something smaller and lighter . The Wanderlodge Owners Group forum is an invaluable resource as is Barthmobile Smiler .

This was ours :

My wife wants me to sell our 92 Barth Breakaway. 30 foot with a great floor plan and lots of home stuff. Lots of stuff has been upgraded. The Cummins is around 300 hp. The transmission was changed to 5 speed over drive which allows crusing the freeways at about 70 plus. OH price is aroung $30K.
