My spring guy recommended that I get new shocks. Can I install them myself if I'm reasonably mechanically inclined?

You should be able to Rich... There really shouldn't be anything special to installing them.

Bill: As a related topic, I have been told that Cummins 1992/93 has metric bolts. Is the spartan chassis of that era SAE?

Your engine should mostly be Metric - The Chassis should be SAE
