Hey guys just joined up as there seems like some knowledgable folks on here. I have a project where I am trying to pair a cummins 6CT8.3 to an Allison ht740d. Talked to a cummins tech and he says they have no listing for a flex plate that will work.

Does anybody know if this has been done before??

Thanks in advance for any help.

The flex plate is an allison part, not cummins. Just about any 740 flex plate will work. The use of the Allison 640 was far more common with the 8.3C engine. You failed to mention the application, but if this is going into a Barth you may have a problem with length using the 740.

In addition verify that both units have SAE 3 bell housing pattern. If so bolt and go.
