My RV mech tells me that someone only used one, rather than the two. washers on one of my front brake caliper bolts. (I hope I'm describing this correctly; I am on the road and was trying to catch this as he described.) He said it is a british pipe thread hollow bolt w/ a 7/16' diameter,
1 1/4 'length. He said it because the correct spacing wasn't kept, the previous person over torqued the bolt and cracked it. This bolt secures the banjo fitting, and my mech can't find the bolt. My Barth is a '91 '28 cummins on a spartan chassis that I just bought. My mech is going to check w/ Bendix tomorrow; can anyone point me in the right direction to find this bolt? Thanks! Jerry in Atlanta

Your local NAPA dealer usually carries all of the fittings, washers, etc for all the brakes in service. You would be wise to take the old one with you and let them match it. Lancer

My mech worked for Foretravel for 20+ yrs and has had his own shop for over 5. He told me he checked with all his usual sources for these things and came up empty. Could this be a rare part? Thanks.

Hi Stringmann, Any luck with finding the Banjo bolt ? My 1976 Barth P-30 uses a Banjo to connect the brake hose to the caliper, might be nice to know where to find one. Also the copper gaskets used to seal it.

Thanks Ralph Glover
