my two cents worth! On my 96 monarch my solenoid started leaking.I immediately took it of and blanked it off, luckyly my system has a by-pass,which I turn on to fill my 100us gal plastic tank,(turn of pump)and use the timer of my I phone to warn my preset time.If one uses auto fill don't forget to install pressure reducer.I don't plan to replace solenoid.Wally 34ft monarch.van-isle

I picked up a 12vdc shut off valve on Ebay for under $20 including shipping. It works just great.
