Some possibilities are under the couch, under the drawers in the galley area. Good luck

Are you hooked up to a shore supply of water or are you depending on your on board tanks?

Ours is under the kitchen sink, behind a very thin panel that only goes up from the floor 1/2 way.

We also have a faucet there (hard to get to) that, when opened, allows the fresh water tank to fill from shore water using the "Autofill" switch on the panel over the entry door.

Something as small as the screens in the kitchen sink and bathroom sink being clogged can also hold the water back.

In our 28' Breakaway, to operate on 'city water', you had to make sure the valve for filling the on board tanks was in the closed position. To fill the tanks, you hooked up to city water, opened the valve for filling the tanks, and flipped the 'Autofill' switch. To stop filling the tanks, you flipped the 'AutoFill' to off. But you then had to turn the valve back to the 'closed' position. If your valve in the open position, your on board pump will try to fill the on board tanks. Maybe that's the problem.

I found the tank and pump under the couch.... Auto fill didn't work either ... Found a in-line shut off valve that was closed not allowing water to enter through auto fill . Found unplugged connector to pump....

As long as the auto-fill solenoid is closed why do I need to close that shut off valve ? It's under the couch and not fun to get to...
It appears to be two different systems... What am I not understanding here ?...

I got it working, but still confused

Auto correct is my worst enema ...

You may have a similar system to what I have. I have an auto fill electrically operated valve which also has a manual shut off valve in the same line, I also have a bypass fill valve in a different line that I can open in case the auto fill doesn't work.

If the bypass valve is closed and the auto fill system is off, I do not have to close the manual shut off valve in the same line as the auto fill electric valve.

Many time when I am in a hurry and want to fill the tank faster, I open the bypass manual valve and also turn on the auto fill system, tanks will fill a lot faster.

If either valve, manual bypass valve or auto electric system is on, the pump will run continuously if turned on.

If I have city water hooked up to the outside hose connection, both fill systems must be off, I can run the pump together with the city water to increase the the water flow and pressure.

As long as the electric autofill valve (which is actually an LPG valve) doesn't leak, you don't need the manual valve. However, mine leaks.

As side note, but if your shut off valve is leaking there are a large number of them on ebay from $3 up. Look up "electric solenoid valve". Make sure you get NC which means normally closed.

Thanks ... Mine has a switch on big panel above door that says 'pump'... I'm assuming that is that diaphragm pump next to the water tank under the couch...
I have water now... Outside hose disconnected...
I have never heard a pump run under the coach... Is it that quiet ?

Auto fill didn't work eithe

For the auto fill to work, the valve in the line leading to the on board tanks has to be in the open position. You have to be hooked up to city water and then you turn the auto fill switch located on the big panel above the door, to the 'on' position. When you do all that, do you hear the on board tanks beginning to fill? You said you saw a connector that was not attached. What did that connector go to? It might be the connector to the auto fill solenoid.

Here's an older thread that speaks of the water situation as well.

A word of caution on the auto fill system: I never let the auto fill completely fill the tanks. The reason is that the water will back up into the hose at the top of the tank that goes to the outside manual fill location. That hose will probably leak and if it does it over a long period of time, wherever it leaks will cause damage, i.e., wood rot or rust/corrosion of metal in the compartment below the tanks. I only let the auto fill system fill the on board tanks about 2/3s of the way.

Great advice...
The wire that was loose went to the diaphragm pump next to the water tank.... Appears to be working now... I disconnected shore water and still have water pressure after two days ... Ran a couple gallons of water out...
Now to see about running on the house batteries without shore power... Generator is fine ...
Getting ready for roughing it for a few days(no external connections is roughing it )... Practice makes perfect... Better to learn what's wrong while still at home
Inverter questions coming next....
Thanks all for you help and insight..
Love my barth... Best and worst investment of my life...
