Not sure what I’ve done,, was trying to trace wires for cigarette lighter and now I have no power when key is turned on and none of vehicle functions work at dash. Batteries show good and I believe both relays work under bed. Ihave power going through both cut off switches but can’t find where I’m losing it. Any ideas on what might be wrong and trouble shoot?

I’m not sure I did anything under the dash but I was all in the engine compartment looking for temp gauge sensor, I cannot find it. 8.3 spartan chassis.

There should be a n ignition relay in the front left compartment. It is triggered by a signal from the ignition switch. It is a continuous duty Cole-Herse but is available from many other suppliers.

You can jump the two large terminals with jumper cables to see if the systems comes to life.

For a wiring diagram call Spartan tech support, they will email it to you.

Just tried the cables on the relay and there is no power to the relay. I do have power leaving the coach and chassis relays in the engine bay. Not sure where I’m losing power,,,,,.

Even though you are getting power across those bay relays try jumping across the chassis relay. I eliminated those. A long time ago because of issues. They are old.

Found the problem,,,, not sure how I missed it. I used a multi meter to check for the proper voltage on the main switches,,, I thought I had power entering and leaving. The CHASSIS MAIN did not have power LEAVING!!!! The switch looks defective as I can get it to power up (SOMETIMES). Another catastrophe figured out. Thank both of you for your help as I know it must get old helping when people like myself miss the simplest of things. I try and remember that when I help others and appreciate you guys more than you may believe. Thanks again !!!!!!!

Oh, one more question,,, 8.3 Cummins and I have not been able to find the engine coolant temp sensor on the engine. There is not good visibility on the sides of the engine, I’ve tried mirrors and lights and have had no luck locating the sensor. I’ve found a few possible locations listed and it’s not there and it doesn’t work so I have to find it. Anyone else had this problem??
