New to this - so I guess I'll just get to the problem at hand. 2 Months ago I bought a Barth (1986 32se) on ebay. Like I say I am new to a Barth and I am trying to locate a drive belt for the small compressor that controls the rear air-lift bags inside the springs. All I can find out about the small compressor and 12vdc small motor that runs it is a set of numbers stamped into the side of the motor tney are 19665-01 then a space and the numbers 3223....also further on down the side are more numbers and they are 63c-00341..... the control unit is a furnas cat no.69BA 8.... the missing bely is ribbed (I think, looking at it)...I can't get the unit out of the spot it is in cause it is welded in......CAN ANYONE HELP ME??????

I am unfamiliar with the compressor used by Barth but it sounds maybe like the Dana compressor used in GMC motorhomes. http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/tech/compressor/index.html

Check McMaster Carr. www.mcmaster.com

Their number for mine is 6484K219, the trade number is 90XL. Measure yours and count the teeth.

I found it was just as easy to put on a newer style compressor that did not require a belt. I left everything else in place including the controls and all lines.

Mike, If you have not already located a pump, you might like to look at the Thomas line of pumps. I replaced the Dana pump (air suspension) on my GMC Motorhome with a Dana model 315. Cots aprox $125

This is an intersting post because I just bought the motorhome from mike and the belt was missing.

Now the problem continues for me and I want to get the rear air bags up again or new ones if they are blown

Where do I start ?

1987 Barth 32' SE

I am having simular difficulty, however, my compressor is a Hadley with a motor and snall piston compressor. It serves both my air horn and air bag suspention. The motor has identical numbers. The only problem I am having is to find a source for the dinky little belt that drives the compressor. I hate to have to purchase a new compressor if the belt is all I need!

Alas, I located a website that you can ges small, specialized belts, gears and little gadgets for fixing things. This is a great site for RV guys who fix things! (anyone who owns an RV) https://sdp-si.com/index.asp

The company is SPI-SI. Give it a try. I have belts on order for my Hadley compressor.

RAH: Welcome to the site. Please send a photo of your tag and your Barth. Glad you found a source for belts. I'm guessing, you own a 1988 Barth Regal SE. And yes, the belt is a bugger to put on............
