Transmission will not go into D,1,2,3, or N, It will go into Reverse, when I toggle R, but not back up the ranges. I went under the coach and manually shifted the trans back to D1. Stone and Bennett air shifter , seems to be free, as the rod moved easily. Back in the cab, toggled back down to (R), just fine. no go again back up. manually shifted into (n). and went to the Barth site. Found needs cleaning.. removed the side plate cleaned the six grounds and the two rods in the slider did not seem to me to be dirty. put it back together and same thing. Do I need to get into the end plates left and right to clean in there? don't understand how it works because did not see how the slider inside moved ? but it does move to the left, If it starts out all the way to the right. (R). Am I overlooking something else? The toggle lights up with the right letters 123DNR.

Brian, I had a problem with the same shifter. My shifter got where it would take several tries to get it to shift from neutral to either forward or reverse and the shift light was partly not lit most of the time. I took the coach to a mechanic for service, oil, filters, and asked him to check out the shifter. He did fix it, the switch works perfect now and indicator lights up perfect and shift works better than ever. When I picked up the coach, he was elated about what he accomplished on the shifter. The best I can Remember he charged me for 1 1/2 hours labor for a total of $75.00 which was the best I have spent. I don't know what he done other than cleaning. If you would like to call him,let me know. Good luck. Sky
