Bracket before I bolted. Held with hose clamps to get position right.

Bracket from both sides.

Roughed in before building permanent with oak.

Finalized installation. Now onto figuring out the antenna system because I don't want to pay for satellite. I already have 2 dishes confusion Okay I took one off. I have to figure which wire comes from where.
How do I tell if my antenna(Winnegaurd Batwing) is good or if I just have bad signal. I have to wait until I am somewhere other than home because I live in a wooded ravine with almost no signal.

Finished up replacement

Nice job Dana... is there a carrier of some sorts that you have mounted to keep it stowed while underway or is it just the mounting bracket that we see here?

I wonder whether the vibrations of driving down the road might cause it to swing out on you. hmm

A possible suggestion for a holdown if you don't have one. You might want to mount 2 of these, at 12 & 6 o'clock, when it is in the stowed position.

The simple act of pushing the tv back would give you a resounding click when it is locked into place.

Make sure you know if the batwing has a power booster. It will be somewhere in the antenna line between the antenna and the tv. It has a switch and a little red light to tell you when it's on. Powered by 12v. If it's not on or loses power you won't have any signal.
Good looking install!

Bill when I said FINALIZED I may have exaggerated. I have a bungee retention in place. I also tried a post and clip system (didn't like how it turned out-removed) I like your idea. I just replaced that piece on the coach door. Well I used the rubber to replace the piece on the door by drilling a hole in the back because the original was wore out. I didn't want to redrill to replace the whole deal. I have been called the master of outside the box. I may be able to do one at mid dial(center). Thank for the suggestion.
