Non-functional gauges, 1996 38' "Monarchgency"

Yet another issue I'm trying to figure out with my new to me 1996 "Monarchgency" (Spartan MM chassis).

The gauges are non-functional (most of them). We live in Indiana, bought the coach in Florida, after a long day went to drive it back, didn't notice right away they were not functioning. Stopped for the night in Georgia, started it up the next morning and all was fine. Awesome.

Drive it all the way home from GA in one shot, went home to sleep. Next morning went to the coach, started it up, dead gauges again.

The air pressure gauges work. The speedo, fuel gauge, oil pressure, odometer (!!!), trip odometer, engine hours meter, etc - all non-functional.

The seller said he had that happen a time or two and had to clean a couple ground terminals in the electrical bay and that fixed it. I did clean the ones he "thought" were the problem but no dice.

Ideas? Picture of chassis electrical bay included.

It's a pain on this forum, but you click on the "attachment: upload on our site" link that's right under the text box for the body of the post, and follow along to choose something from your phone or computer (depending on what you're using the forum from).

There is a “Gauges” breaker on the switched buss bar. Check that the ignition relay is passing power to the dash A/C, power seats, dash fans and the like. If that’s ok, then check power through the gauges breaker, it may be intermittent or has failed. The instruments themselves are individually powered. There is also a ground wire that to each gauge that runs back to the run panel typically secured to the steel in the run panel, check that the bolt is tight and the steel is not rusty.

Replacing the starter batteries seems to have fixed this. Thankfully.
