For the brake assemblies on the tag axle, crawl under and find the ID tag
(mine was a band around the axle on the Driver's side)
copy down the number(s) and call Dexter at 574-295-7888.
They can give you all the part numbers.
You can buy from them or get the parts cheaper at www.trailerparts4u.com. Thumbs Up

It appears there is variation among tag axles. The TA3 and TA5 were produced by Neway Division, Lear Siegler Inc. (Muskegon, MI) and Hammerblow Company (Wasau, Wi)

I have had no luck finding the TA5 manual from any of the above sources. The companies are gone or reorganized and do not support the TA axles. The references here may be helpful but the master cylinder on my tag does not match any of the photos. The principles of operation and service are good reference, though.

It appears that the brake drum components are made by Dexter and were used on Ford 350 trucks and vans. These can be sourced through conventional suppliers. mechanic
