I saw this on a recent hot rodding TV show. I thought of all you guys with the 454's and managing the neatness in the engine compartment.
Looks like a super solution and cheap too.

Mogan, Operative word there is BAD. replace them with UNBAD wires.

Take your zip ties out to the electric fence and hold them on the wire. If you don't feel anything then use that tie. Just because they are nylon doesn't mean the colorant doesn't provide conductance.

That makes me chuckle. One of the major brands sells some nice plastic wire separators that are chrome plated. Never did the electric fence thing with them, but they can't be good.

At the airline, we used only the milky white ties.
Someone said the black ones use carbon as the colorant, which might explain the conductivity. I tested one with a Fluke, with no result, but a megger showed it was indeed capable of conducting.

454 MH wires need to be about a wire diameter apart, particularly one pair of cylinders, (but I can't remember which two) .. Wire spacing is not as critical with spiral core wires, or even relatively new ordinary wires. That is sometimes why new wires make a MH run better. The P30 really stresses ignition wires.
