Dave BowersHi W&B,
If you go to the "Barths for Sale" forum you will find descriptions of all the models along with pictures.

Dave BowersI have to apologize, it has been some time since I looked at those entries on the Barth models. I guess I just put pictures and no descriptions. I'll try to kind of do that this week.

Most do not. A few do.
Most have the cumming 5.9 diesel. A few have Cat or GM diesel engines.
Most are built on Spartan chassis. A few on Gillig.
Barth built almost anything, so there are few sure things.

w&bknockeThe smoothness of the air ride is a strong point, are breakaways rougher riding or still better than the bread truck sob

RustyMy 28' Breakaway is a DP on a Spartan chassis. I also contemplated buying a '97 28' diesel puller Trek on the P-30/32 chassis.
Despite the shorter wheelbase on my Breakaway (only a couple of inches longer than the LWB - 19' LOA - Ford diesel van I have), the handling is far more pleasant.
My 28' has the same running gear that the 30' has, so it's a bit rough in the limerock road from my house to the main road, but that's only 1.5 miles. Once on the pavement, it rides quite smoothly. Some spots on I-75 in GA are deteriorated, and I can feel that, but mostly, it's a sweet ride. The Bilstein shocks probably help.
