Sorry to hear that. I fought with the city for about 20 years, retired and bought 20 acres way out in the country. Solved that problem.

Good luck on the turnout of this.

Barth calls it a 24*
* minus the bustle and the bumpers...

What does it measure with everything?

You might want to tell them about your 25' neon purple and orange vehicle you plan on purchasing to replace this one. You know... the one that you plan on painting to match your new house colors. Big Grin

GO to Ebay and type in "1979 Dodge Travel Queen".

Tell the city you if you have to get rid of your Barth, you are going to buy a shorter rig and this gentleman will do one of his custom paint jobs....like he did on this coach. You really like his work and the way he expresses himself really touches your inner self.....

Might work!

A friend had a similar problem. After taking the tires off, it is legally considered a "shed" in his locality. Sometimes sheds have to be moved, so the stack of tires is next to it.

What city? Ask for the specific code chapter and section that regulates parking of rv's and travel trailers. If they have a specific Ordinance have them provide a copy. If they refer to Resolution, Guideline or other form of standard it is not sufficient to compel you to move. Most communities allow parking on your lot provided it is behind all required setbacks and required yards and screened from view (from the adjacent street). All zoning codes have provisions for Exceptions, Variances and Special Permits. These are created to allow people to vary from the strict terms of a zoning ordinance under certain conditions. For instance if the neighborhood has rv's and travel trailers on other lots you can likely get a special permit in order for you to be treated in a like manner. Court cases (at least in Texas) almost universally have problems with arbitrary provisions like "25'10"" when there is no justification as to why 20 or 28 ft are substantially different. If you develop a sketch of where and how you will park and screen your lot you can succeed.
