These may just be the most useful flip flops in the world. I think every camper should have a pair.

Cheri got me a new pair of these Columbias recently.

They are comfortable, but the biggest feature is a hard bottom. I had a pair of Nikes that the bottom was kind of dense foam rubber and it accumulated cactus spines from the ground that would poke up into my feet whenever I stepped on something hard or sharp. It took me a while to realize that they were laced with these subterranean needles as once the rubber decompressed, nothing was visible. The Nikes are now at the dump and my feet are much happier!

Lately, we find ourselves wearing our Crocs more than the flip flops. They take water as well as sandals, offer more protection, and have a nice arch and heel cup. The strap can be swung up for use as a slip-in, or hooked over the heel for rough terrain, wading or running.

And, they offer a little more cushion for rocks or kickstarting motorcycles. Smiler

I don't know about everyone else, but I personally like the beer bottle opener in the sole. Big Grin

I really can't believe that nobody caught the bottle opener in the sole of these sandals. I guess Danny & I are going to have to give lessons at the Hillsboro GTG this year.

AhHa Doug!!! I knew there was something I was missing. I guess I don't drink enough beer to be able to pick that up. And I certainly don't need them for the Jack Daniels bottle! Wait, maybe I do...gotta have something on your feet when you go into the liquor store! Big Grin

Bluebirds have their refreshments delivered by the RV park equivalent of room service.
