Question on Good Sam club
I joined Good Sam years ago, and now realize I have bills due for both Good Sam Owners club and RV emergency road svc; for some reason, my aging brain thought they were the same, but my call to them says no. Opinions? Do y'all have either/neither/both? I believe I pd for mine on the first tow of my barth (followed by 2 more, all 'free'), but would appreciate your opinions. thanks.

"both Good Sam Owners club and RV emergency road svc;...."
From a previous post: RE: RV Clubs (in General Discussions)
"Good Sam's will deluge you with junk mail and email, but the road service is excellent." Exactly ... . It is well worth the $99 annual fee.
I've had GS ERS for nigh on 20 years; 3 calls, one tow (Oklahoma, about 100 miles), no problems with the responders, no problem with reimbursement. The GS Club FREE NIGHT OF CAMPING! with the sign-up fee is worthwhile but a hassle to fill out the form and wait for the coupon...and I don't read the insipid "magazine" and would die before I'd allow the GS smileyangel sticker to be displayed on anything I drive.

I already get RV-specific roadside assistance through my insurance carrier (Progressive), which I've had to use once and was fairly pleased with the service. Kinda depends on if you have anything there, as far as whether you should pay extra for GS coverage.

Previously discussed on Barthmobile.com, and worth checking into on an individual basis:

Some insurance carriers may consider towing as a claim, to be factored-in for future premium adjustments. A stand-alone ERS plan may actually pay for itself in the long run......
