Like many Barth owners, I have always wished I had a higher level Barth. One of the things I like on the Regencies is the wheel well moldings. I have always thought they looked nifty, and have considered putting some on my gasser. Being black, they would blend in decently on our metallic brown and black coach.

However, the front wheels on a P30 sit quite a bit inboard, so it might end up looking silly. Or at least out of balance.

Has anyone done that or seen it done?

If I had better Photoshop abilities, I would try it on screen.

Does anyone know of a source for such molding? Perhaps something less massive than used on the diesel Barths would be a little better.

Opinions?

I replaced mine with a universal wheel well trim from Truck Supply center. They are typical, in a variety of widths and profiles and a lot get crunched in the truck business. You just cut to fit and screw to the wheel well inner flange. Use stainless self threading screws #12 x 3/4"

Thanks. Glad to know they come in different sizes/shapes.

Probably the best way to answer my question is to buy enough for one wheel well and put it on.

One "feature" of the P-30/32 compared to DPs is that the front wheel track is in line with the inner rear wheel, where most DPs have the front wheels aligned with the outer rear.

My (narrow) front tread is over a foot wider than the rear inner tread. Exact measurement tomorrow after church.

I think we have pictures of some very deep ruts in the AZ desert that show this. We barely made it out.

There are two front ends on Pees. The later 2000 up (big) ones are over a foot wider than the narrow ones.

Relatively accurate (tape measure) measurements:

Front tread: 69 3/4"

Rear inner wheels tread: 56 1/2"

Does anybody have a link to a web site that has the wheel well molding? A web search gets buried in pick up truck junk!
