Carb to Fuel Injection
What year did fuel injection replace carburation in the Barths? THANKS

On the GM 454 motor home chassis, 89 was a transition year, so a later chassis could have TBI and an earlier one a Qjet. A 90 motor home could be on an 89 Chassis, so it could have either.

I would not be influenced one way or the other by the GM TBI. TBI may give a slight advantage in economy, but the only advantage I have experienced is altitude correction. Anyone who has driven up to Rock Creek Lake in the Sierras will nod. Fuel injection didn't really prove its worth until direct port injection arrived in 96 on 454s.

Perhaps BillNY, Eddie or another Ford guy could speak for Fords.

If your talking about a Ford 460 mine is a 91 an it has Multi Port Fuel Injection. I talked to another Barth owner and there 1990 had a carb.

edit: I just found a post from whamer who's 1991 had a carburetor on it so maybe that was the transition year for Ford
