Domain Name System. It's basically what translates a plain-language ("https://www.barthmobile.com") to its 'net address "123.456.789.157"

Why some folks couldn't connect is that a common DNS server was down; others' connections used a different server.

In either case the idea is quite staggering.

I got several emails telling me about this problem. What you were reading was the forum hosting service (eve/groupee) asking me if I was receiving more emails about the connection issues.

Here is the support ticket that this was taken from.

I know that sometimes I go overboard with my responses by telling you what I was told. I would rather put it all on the table just in case I missed something myself.

Honestly, I don't know what I should know about doing this. Believe it or not, I sometimes stumble around a bit. I just know what works and what doesn't. By giving you all the info (as technical as it might sound) I was hoping to expand my knowledge-base as well by listening to your responses.

Thanks for the response Rusty. This explains more to me, and everyone else.
