This is an unabashed pitch to those of you who might be coaxed into trying out the Chat Room when you're on the Barth site checking out other posts.

The other night (Thursday, I think) we had 24 members on the site and 9 in the Chat Room.

It's always a guess as to who is in the Room since you have to go there to see. (I wonder whether the 'Forums' page could someday show who is in the Chat Room without going there.... What do you think, Bill_NY? If you've been asked this before, sorry.)

Folks already there when you Click-in are always friendly and welcoming. Don't be surprised if they all say "Hello" in some way or another. And sometimes the banter is really entertaining. The other night I was laughing so hard I could hardly stay on the keyboard!


Join us when you can. If there's a hot topic going folks will let you know. We're usually there on Wednesday and Saturday nights around 9:30pm E/T or later, or whenever else the spirit moves us. It's a great way to stay in touch or simply have some fun!

May I add that if you want to chat and no one is in there, stick around and wait a while. I have stayed in there and had chat sessions on any given night of the week.

Here is my request in January for this feature from their support forum... Just in case you think I'm sleeping at the wheel.

How do you make the sound work in chat? I get no warning when someone enters the room.
