Does anyone knows what DOCK LTS. switch is for? That's the last unknow for me in deciphering my 1988 Regal 25.

Thanks!

Docking lights should be in the compartment doors on either side toward the rear on each side for when you are backing up at night to light the area to the side of the rear. They are mounted at about a 45 degree angle and really light up the surroundings area.

Hmm... No such lights on my coach.
Any other suggestions?

Interesting! hmm Perhaps your coach did not have them installed. Does the switch have any wires connected to back? It might just be a dummy switch.

Just verified that there are wires connected to the switch. Also, previous owner replaced tail lights. It is entirely possible that some sort of extra lights was installed in the original tail lights setup.

For anyone else who might be searching for the same issue — I revisited it yesterday. After removing the dashboard, I found that the wires were connected and the switch was receiving power. I decided to take on the always-adventurous task of tracing the wire, and to my surprise, I discovered it terminated at the rear of the coach on the passenger side, just past the wheel well. What a great find! Looks like I'll be installing some much-needed docking lights soon.

Very cool. Nice to find wires for a change. There was much variation between control panels. Locations switches vary. You should have no problem installing lights. They can be flush or recessed. They were recessed on both my Barths.

My current ones are recessed with LED lights. Very bright for night parking. OTOH, I try to avoid parking at night!

That’s funny! The funny part is I have LED replacements but have not installed because I try to not drive after dark. I do drive in the dark. In the early morning when I’m able to miss rush hrs in metro areas. I’ll nap later after I’ve cleared metro area. I do the same thing even in my truck. Replace far down my list of mods.

I don't like to drive after dark either . This coach has the best headlights of any coach we've owned , but we still like to be off the road before dark . Even in my truck or Jeep I still prefer not to drive at night , the oncoming traffic blinds me . Especially if the oncoming traffic has LED headlights .

OTOH, have you ever noticed that no matter when you want to change lanes, there will always be a car in your blind spot? hmm
If you flash those LED docking lights, they get out of your way! confusion ROTFLMAO
