Steve was a quiet guy; he seldom said anything, possessing an almost monastic silence.

But seriously!

Steve expounded on multiple topics at length; he amazed me with his varied repertoire of skills and knowledge. When Steve talked, I listened because he was a great teacher as his many students discovered. The man knew how to fly, repair almost anything and even was a fireworks Jedi.

Steve was also a compassionate, empathic man. His profession involved helping others to be their very best. He understood what the famous Canadian philosopher Steve Smith, aka Red Green said over and over, “We’re all in this together.”

In a way, Steve made himself immortal. The thousands of kids and other people he helped all carry some Steve with them. He made the world a better place.

Steve, it was a privilege to have you as a friend. You will be missed!
