Anybody have an idea what weight flat tow a 1993 25' Regal with a 454, 4l80e Over drive and 4 wheel disc brakes can handle safely?

Anything from a mid-sized pickup on down. Just make sure the toad is equipped with auxiliary braking.

I ended up buying a 2010 Chevy HHR SS w/manual transmission. I will be using all Blue OX products including the braking system.

My neighbor has the same car and drivetrain. He's very mechanical. He absolutely loves it.

It really depends on the rear end in your rig, what it's geared at. This determines the Max GCWR which is the main number to look at when flat towing. There is a chart for the early chassis' to help you determine this, with engine on the left and rear axle ratio along the top. Check out PDF page 12 here.

My 1978 with the 454 has either the 4.10 or the 4.56 rear end and I flat tow my 1993 single cab Toyota pickup (~2,700 pounds). I am around 12,000 pounds wet last I weighed, and I have zero issues with my flat tow. My MPG drops from around 10 to 8 or so, and my comfortable cruising speed comes down from about 65-70mph to 55-60mph.

I absolutely love having my truck with me while traveling. The open bed makes it easy to load a motorcycle or moped, or really anything else, on my travels.
