RV Parking in Florida
We have an opportunity to buy a small home in Beverly Hills, Citrus County, Florida and are trying to find out if one can park an RV on a residential lot? Seems the County may prohibit such. Anyone have any experience with this?

My advice would be to contact the Code Enforcement Office for that county, any other advice would not be legal advice in case you would have to go to court. Also check to see if there are any neighborhood associations that are in effect.

Mary Ray is totally correct. Check with YOUR county regulations. The restrictions in the city of Cape Coral(Lee county)FL.pretaining to P/U trucks and RVs was the reason I moved to Tenn.I did move back to N.Fort Myers,(lee county)FL. but I'm in a gated park with a seperate fenced storage yard. I can do limited work in front of my home, the heavy stuff I farm out due to my age and lack of know how...................

Tom,
B Hills is not far from me, we're just below in Hernando County.

You will have to check with town ordinances, but generally if you have proper set-back and street access, you are golden. That's always assuming it's not a deed restricted development.

I'm pretty up on Florida real estate, buying 6 properties since I started part-timing here in 2005. Feel free to PM me if you want to run the deal by me. There are definitely some pitfalls in Florida to be careful of when buying real estate, but nothing worse than any other state I'm sure.

Also, make sure you check on the deed restrictions, county might not have ordinance against, but deed restrictions may make it improper or illegal. Ray
