I have insured my past motor homes through USAA. They now refer you to Progressive. My dealing with them was not very positive. What other insurance companies have you folks found good experience with?

I had Progressive with my first motorhome, best rates and some various claims (windshield, awning, flat tires and towing) that were mostly positive. I'd at least give them a try for rates, and then also compare with Geico, Nationwide, State Farm, Allstate, and some of the other "big ones" that provide easy online quotes.

Rates can vary greatly by state so it's hard to compare mine to yours, if you are somewhere else. Although it sounds like you are more interested in the customer service side of things.

When we bought our current trailer, Allstate (who I have my house & other cars insured through) was by far the cheapest which surprised me... so I stuck with them for now.

I tried USAA too, four years ago and they sent me over to Progressive. I have been happy with them and the rates are better that what Good Sams could find. My rate has gone down each year.

We use State Farm and have found their rates to be competitive, plus all our other vehicles and homeowner's are with them. We like our agent and no problems so far.
