It has occurred to me , before, during or after Mary Ray is done with your collective asses on the go cart track, some one may be hungry. I profess to be a half ass cook that can make one great pulled pork. How does that sound for a lunch. sound off I've still got tuesday to smoke it. Tom

My travels this summer have been in the Northeast, maybe next year I could be invited to this event, sounds like it will be a great time.
I am at Cape Cod Massachusetts for about 3 weeks, and have my Webber Smokey Mountain (WSM) with me, I love doing ham butts and beer can chicken, etc on it with apple smoke wood. Tom would you like to share the details of your smoked pulled pork. I use the VirtualWeberBullet,"The Renowned Mr. Brown". Works for me, but looking for more ideas for this new toy.

Jack, no need to wait to be invited - the GTGs are for all forum members. Plans are for it to be in the DC area in Fall '09.

From Deb&Eds35:

quote:
Not sure how the rest of the states you folks are on route from to the GTG but Deb and I left Florida yesterday to head home on some personal maters and quite a few of the service stations including the big ones Flying J etc. were out of fuel or rationing it to 50gals. When we arrive home about 3 in the morning a few of the stations in our area had run out and were waitng on tankers.

I'm full - plan to fill up a Jerry can locally, will give me a few extra miles. Only have a 40 gal. main tank. The truckers aren't happy, but they still drive 75-80 mph.

The Barth is loaded, but not washed. Frowner Helen cleaned the inside after Corey(My Son)& I got the refer pulled to replace the the danged tube from the ice maker water valve to the ice maker. After all of that, I was too tired to wash it. Detailed it completely before we went to Niagara Falls, but it rained on us all the way there and there was that little storm, Gustov. We plan to leave as soon as we can after work Wednesday. ROTFLMAO

Actually, we've had a lot of recipes posted in different forums. Some were for camping food, but a lot were for camping drinks. Roll Eyes Here's a search result that has a few of each.

I should be there in the early afternoon - I'm currently in an RV park in Adairsville - planned to stop here rather than do Chattanooga rush hour. Short stop at Wal-Mart just down the road from Raccoon Mt.

BTW, FWIW, diesel was plentiful up I-75, and within a few cents each side of $4.
