50th Anniversary tour
It all started with the Black Hills GTG. Now we’re in Columbia Falls, MT. Tomorrow we tour a portion of Glacier National Park.

Here are a couple of pictures from today.

Lou, Happy that you and Barb are finally getting to tour in your Barth. I know you waited a while to make that happen. When I tried to view your post, the picture stopped mid-stream. Might have something to do with the size.

Got no pics here, not even the "usual" red X if something does not load. Computer
ok I tried again and now I get half of a humongous picture of some tree tops and a Barth top. Please resize smaller.

When I did this posting I had no idea that anything went through. In fact I thought the entire posting had failed.

We're in Santa Nella, CA at present, and are looking forward to a reunion at the Reagan Museum. Meeting a friend I grew up with on Long Island.

As soon as I can get a decent WiFi signal I'll flesh out the places we've been with properly sized pictures.

In fact, here's one from Glacier that I use for a desktop background. I've resized it. So this is an attempt to do a post with good pictures!

I used 290 as the max. size for this last picture. If that's too small, someone please let me know what works.

I see I have to do a better job of labeling, as well.

While we're at it, if someone could suggest a route from L.A. to Phoenix that avoids mountains I'd sure appreciate it. Barb is getting pretty skittish about the views out the right side window when they're all straight down!

According to my Delorme Topo USA v6, I-10 is relatively sedate; runs through passes for the most part. There are still grades to "enjoy".

Hopefully MWrench, bill h, or other left-coast denizen will have more info.

You were right, Rusty. I-10 from L.A. to present location (Las Cruces, NM) was a piece of cake. A long piece of cake.

Beautiful cities nominees along I-10:
a. Benson, AZ
b. las Cruces, NM

Stunning views west to east with sun behind us.

Things to be careful of: Black tank may have had a foreign object (isn't Roswell around here somewhere?) in its craw. That and the altitude increase produced an unwelcome surprise when the outer cover was removed.

Ahhh, the Vicissitudes....
