lenny and judyNew Orleans
The hardest day driving WE have encountered since I have been driving. The winds were hitting the side of the coach at forty plus gusts on the bridge over Lake Pontchartrain (under construction) should have waited but had reservations. Today no wind.
This campground is in the city one block from the French Quarter. The manager wears a suit and the camp site is all in paving bricks, locked and gated, surrounded by a block wall with spikes on top .

AlthepalAre you at the French Quarter RV Resort? Sort of a scary 1 block walk downtown to the heart of the FQ. My wife and I stayed there in '08, poured rain and windy as ... Nice classy place. The VW Rialta we had then was kinda small for the place. Very nice hosts.

Tom and JulieThe Pontchartrain Landing RV Park did not exist in 08. The French Quarter Park is half under I-10 and noisy. It is nice but crowded so we went for the larger, newer, cheaper and more secure one. The free shuttle solves the accessibility problem. Check it out on the web.

MWrenchLenny and Judy, how did we miss you guys, we were at FQRV the night of April 15th!
Nice place but frankly, was a bit worried about security even thou the walls were concrete block with razor glass on top.
We are in Fredricksburg Texas now.
