Dave RWhat kind of fuel milage can you expect from that fuel sipping diesel?

DoormanShould get between 10-12 mpg. Just beware that this is a early series DD. 8.2 4 stroke. The had head gasket and warp issues if over heated at all. They take special tools and knowledge to set pump timing. They were known for good mpg. They upgraded around 1985 to larger head bolts. Do a search on the 8.2 D.D. For more info. Price seams right depending on condition.

ccctimtationDoes this include the overweight front axle that is only fixed with a trip to Chicago area, the son that took over his dad's business with the special upgraded spindles etc,? Sorry for the run on sentence.

Indeed, the axles and practically all other aspects of the MCC chassis will be a challenge to maintain, compared to GM, Ford, Oshkosh/FL, Gillig, Spartan

ccctimtationFirst Barth I looked at in 2002 was an MCC. I found the site and Dave told me that it would handle like a sports car, ride like a dream...if the front axle had been rebuilt. He said the "On the road with Charles Curralt" was always done with the MCC, but never with a worn front axle.
