GoodsignHi Ted, thanks for posting the pictures & requesting opinions regarding the manufacturer of the trolley you saw. The Barth mobile site has been very quiet as of late. Possibly everyone is either camping or riveted to the world cup.

After viewing the trolley, my first impression is it's a bit coarse & somewhat unrefined to be a Barth vehicle. I was curious how many other manufacturers also built trolley buses & the list is longer than I expected; that includes Gillig, Hometown Manufacturing, Advance Green, Supreme, Chance, Ward, LGE Coach Works, & others. Hometown Manufacturing, for example, makes four different models of trolley buses all being very well designed. Possibly, this trolley was a prototype, a very early model, or a one-off produced by a small fabricating shop. To close out, opinions aren't facts but there may be a way to ascertain the facts regarding the production. I noticed a "bug"(an advertising sticker) displayed by the owner, Richmond Transportation, Ashtabula, Ohio. I Googled their name, went to their website, & pictured there was this trolley with a brief history, as well as their other limos & buses. Unfortunately, they did not list the manufacturer of their units, however, I would think they would know, since they own them & licensed them. On this website, they also included an email richmondtrans5456@gmail.com.& a phone number 440-998-0080. So a brief email could replace opinion with fact.
Good Luck All, John

Pirate19I probably should have been more forthright initially. I was asked by a Barth owner (but nonmember to this site) to post these pictures and solicit feedback. That person knows the owner who recently purchased the trolly. Their in-person examination led them to believe it quite possibly is a Barth. The owner did not know.
Nonetheless, your detective work I imagine will be very helpful to the owner. I will update this thread when more is known. Thanks Goodsign - talk soon, I hope.
