It would take some work, but it looks pretty solid.

1966 BARTH CONTINENTAL 20 FT TRAVEL TRAILER FOR RESTORATION
quote:

VIN: D1141224

Up for your consideration we are offering this 1966 BARTH CONTINENTAL 20 FT TRAVEL TRAILER FOR RESTORATION. This is a real nice solid trailer that would make a great project for someone. This travel trailer is spacious and was once a luxury trailer in its time.It does have a bathroom, kitchen, stove, refrigerator, sink and plenty of cabinet space. The front is really the only room that will need to be completely restored. We had high hopes to do this ourselves but unfortunately we have other plans. We redid the floor and took off the paneling in front. We resealed the windows. All the curtains and window sidings are there. There is a small leak up in the cabinet as shown in the picture. The hook up is a 6 prong with a middle prong. The rear bumper is bent on the side from where it was ran into. The right rear tire has a slow leak in it,we will have air in it when you come pick it up.There was some vandalized done to it in front but it can easily be cleaned off.We don't know the tow weight of it but we pulled it with a Jeep Commander and it pulled it with no problem at all.Don't know much about the electronics, gas or how much water gallons it holds(we never got that far).We do have alot of the original paper work for it.As far as we know we are the third owner of this trailer. We have an Indiana tile from 1997,We purchased it in 2010.What a nice project this would be for someone that KNOWS how to restore it,being that it is aluminum it is worth while for even scrap.

So it's a 24 footer by the vin, I guess they measured the actual trailer to get 20 ft, not counting the hitch.

One thing is for sure. Once you strip it down to the studs, it will most probably be in the same shape as when it was assembled. It is all aluminum. Been there done that & not sorry I did it. My 19' is only 15' inside. It took a lot of work. That trailer could get a new layout & be a smash if someone wants to put in the time & money.

You're right Todd.
Sloop, if no one else wants it I might Mary Ray it. It seems to be almost exactly like ours and the exterior skin looks better.

It's the same size as your trailer William and it also has a roof mounted A/C unit too - and we know that Todd is looking for that window brushguard.

I've requested, and received some more photos. These are the same ones at Ebay - just larger.

Hi Bill
Here are the pics that you requested. This is a really great travel trailer and I hope someone gets it that just doesn't scrap it. It pulls real easy,we pulled it with a 2007 Jeep Commander. It's a beauty. Thank You and Good Luck to all the people over there at BarthMobile.
Kind Regards
Missy
