Doug SmileySPOT SATELLITE MESSENGER
Has anyone used this service:

billyt53Looks pretty cool...I think it is overkill for an average RV'er. If someone does like Helen and I and parks the Barth in the middle of no where it would be a must for an emergency situation, i.e. there is no cell service in the camping area of Paloduro Canyon, TX. Even though at $99/year, it is cheaper than On-Star and it works anywhere, On Star only works where it can hit a Verizon Tower. I may buy one just because???

bud@YXYWe use this SPOT service often. Commonly when we are out in the boat, but have used it with the Barth, just to let the kids know we are OK-- especially if parked where our pay as you go cell service is lacking
