Has anyone used this service:

Looks pretty cool...I think it is overkill for an average RV'er. If someone does like Helen and I and parks the Barth in the middle of no where it would be a must for an emergency situation, i.e. there is no cell service in the camping area of Paloduro Canyon, TX. Even though at $99/year, it is cheaper than On-Star and it works anywhere, On Star only works where it can hit a Verizon Tower. I may buy one just because???

We use this SPOT service often. Commonly when we are out in the boat, but have used it with the Barth, just to let the kids know we are OK-- especially if parked where our pay as you go cell service is lacking
