Danny ZVery cool, but definately a fresh water rig. Salt would eat that thing up.

Steve VWThat is way too cool for my blood! I was thinking more Tennessee houseboat..
I can see it now...
You start with a great big old used pontoon boat... remove pontoons, attach alongside coach. Narrow side decks on top of pontoons...
Now we get a big flat bottom jon boat. Cut off front half, slide under coach, flare sides to fit, rivet to coach. Doesn't have to be water tight, we'll fill the whole front with 37 cans of Great Stuff (to account for the weight of the engine)
A deck across the back, a 1962 Johnson "Fat 50" hp mounted to the spare tire support and hitch... a few more 55 gallon drums (or empty? beer kegs) underneath for more flotation...
A few cleats, anchor line, (already got the horns!) we're there...

I suggested that he cut the dovetails by hand, but he insisted on getting a router and a jig. Sheesh. What a Normite.
