What other manufacturers comparable to Barth?

I've been doing much research in the past few months after I decided that I'd like to get into the RV lifestyle. Since I plan to live for at least a few months a year in the RV I want something high quality. Which lead me to Barth after seeing the brand mentioned on another RV forum. What other brands have comparable construction and quality to Barths? Did any other brand use aluminum like Barth? I'd like to get a Barth but in case I'm not able to find one I want I'm looking at other brands too. Country Coach, Vogue, and ForeTravel are others I've been looking at. I just want something with high quality construction and something unique unlike new RVs.

I believe I would have to go with a Barth or a Bluebird . In my opinion those two have the best built coaches . I've owned Winnebago , Holiday Rambler , Bluebird and Barth coaches . Bluebird is my top choice , however they did not offer smaller and lighter coaches . Most Bluebirds have more complicated operating systems . A Bluebird BMC is about as simple of a coach that Bluebird made . We sold our BMC to downsize into something smaller , lighter and a little bit easier to maintain . The Barth was the closest quality in a class a that we could find compared to a Bluebird .

If I didn’t have two Barths I would checkout the following:
Early Newell’s (up to about 1990)
Hawkins
Bluebird
Tiffin
Foretravel (ask member Nick Cagle - he bought one!)
Airstream - (coach, not trailer)
Any coach on a Gillig, Spartan, Freightliner, or similar bus and fire apparatus frame chassis.
Others may edit this to add some I forgot.

I second everybody on the Bluebird.
We purchased our Bluebird 10 years ago and comfortably traveled across the country months at the time - right now cruising trough California! Keep in mind, as mentioned above, it's heavier and more complexed than Barth.

Similar to Harold, we are in the process of replacing our Bluebird with smaller and lighter Barth - kids don't travel with us anymore so we don't need all the room, extra tank capacities, onboard washer/dryer, etc.

Good luck in your search!

That is a nice FC Bluebird you have for sale . I went to WOG and saw it . We've been members there since 2014 as well .

We really loved our Bird also . It was a tough decision when we sold it . We are very happy with our Barth Breakaway and are slowly upgrading , modifying and making it our own .
