I KNOW THIS SITE IS FOR BARTHS AND BARTH OWNERS , i have a barth . but there is a olds 455 engine complete on the detroit craigs list for $1000... i dont own it or know anything else

maybe you or one of your friends knows someone who needs this,, again i do not own this

Jack, I moved your post here as it basically is a link to an add. It is also a stretch to post this here in Barthmobile as I am not aware of any Barth powered by an Olds 455 engine. I will leave it for a bit for now.

hmm Yes Jack that is a stretch, or maybe not? Hide 455 is a tiny bit bigger than the Chevrolet 454, but made by the same manufacturer. Thumbs Up I have no idea if they are interchangeable because a purring pussy CATerpillar powers my BaRTH.

Swapp to Olds engine should not be that hard. I think trans bellhousing might be different. Might need change tranny too. Many GMC motor homes with front wheel drives used Olds engines
both 455's and 403's. I own a 69 Olds 98 with a high compression 455. It a runner as long I feed it.
