water
I have two doors in back with vents, one is for the radiator access and the other door is for access to the batteries.I just noticed that there is i/4 inch of water sitting in the door. Has anybody with a regency noticed this? It looks like a rust spot waiting to happen. Did anybody try to drain the doors by drilling holes in door between the vents.

I would think drain holes would be good. A friend who worked at Ford in the 80's found that many of their rust through sites had poor drainage. More holes were included. (I think it also helped the primer paint drain on the assembly line)
That said, the location of the holes bears some inspection and thought. good luck
