Yeah...i got it bad... especially since when we got home on thursday after spending the day down in Phoenix at the Dr.s office it was snowing...and the new furnace quit working... and we have had to use the fireplace for heat since then because the furnace guy was out of town and is supposed to be here in the next two hours. The fireplace is small and i need to put wood on it once every hour so i have had to sleep, or i should say catnap, beside it in a chair for the last 4 nites....gets old real quick! Had a lot of time to think and i have a plan that if it works will allow us to get out of here and on the road about 3 months sooner , BUT it depends on other people cooperating and you know how that can go. Anyway when we hit the road we want to stay in touch with cell phone and computer and i have been doing some research on different systems and hope to see Gary and Suzie in Quartzite but that may not happen, so Gary and Suzie i would like to get some real world experience from you on the motosat/datastorm/direcway satellite dish that you have.....if i can pry you away from you life of leisure on the beach for a few minutes!!! Where did you get it? Initial and monthly cost? How do you like it? Any problems? Also info on your cell phone setup...Same questions. Believe me EVERYBODY is watching your posts and wishing they were there. As soon as you told where you were the other day i got out the atlas and looked to see what the little town was that you are near, and i bet i wasn't the only one that did that. Looking forward to more posts from you, believe me you don't have to worry about boring anybody!!!!! ED

Ed: Go to Datastormusers.com and you'll find dealers, discussion forums, etc. You can find a dealer/installer near you. He will fill you in on costws and details much better than we can. We're still on the learning curve but believe me, it beats the heck out of cell phone connected to laptop. We do use cell phones a lot on the road in the US but NOT in Mexico. Cost for satellite installation and use is not cheap but in the long run worth it, especially if it's a write-off. We also have the same system at home and just take the modems with us on the road. We do not have the TV component although you can get that too through Direcway or Direct TV or whatever it is,
And of course there is a phone component on the satellite system but it's not worth it for a month, Once you're on datastorm look up VOIP, Voice Over Internet Protocol. Let us know if you have other questions. And as for beach envy, we'll see you in Quartzite and fill in all the details, best places, etc. We're here for six weeks exploring various places on the Pacific coast south of Mazatlan and north of Manzanillo. Look those up and you'll see our "territory" as we soak up the sun and turn on the attic fan to keep the ocean breezes wafting through SUGAR. Take care.
