engine speed, vehicle speed
I have a 1992 mh3176 Gillig chassis with caterpillar 3176 engine. I believe the motor home got struck by lightning. would not crank. I replaced the ECM and then it cranked. No vehicle power or engine speed from the foot pedal,it idle,s only. Looking through my Gillig owners manual it shows the Data link microprocessor controls engine speed, vehicle speed, manifold boost pressure, throttle position, which I replaced, optional sensor information, status word, diagnostic word, engine fuel rate, engine I.D. and customer specified parameters. PLEASE has anyone had this problem? how can you adjust the DATA Link?

If the throttle is air operated it will not function until the engine air compressor has built up about 80 PSI of air pressure in the system.
