I have a basement air conditioner Dometic duo therm in my 95 regal that is blowing cool air and no heat along with a noisy fan unit. This is a sealed unit and I understand can be repaired. Anyone out there with a similar unit that has had some maintenance and experience on it? I do realize that they are expensive to replace, but am wondering if I would be better off to replace with a roof air unit.....
Any opinions out there ???

I replaced mine with a roof top. Gained a bunch of bay space. I had a fantastic fan in the roof that I replaced with the AC. Used the DC wires for the new AC. All worked just fine and still do 5 years later.

My only regret is I installed a Carrier roof air. The Dometic Penquin would have be quiter.
