Have not had much luck getting my kohler gen. to work so am getting a portable,my question for everyone is if I remove the original gen. how would that less weight affect my steering also thinking of putting a carrier on the front for another motor bike. Has anyone had experience with this ? Thanks

It all depends on the length of you coach and the rear over hang. 30 foot Breakaways are marginally light on the front and any reduction of front weight, handling will degrade significantly. It will be "the tail wagging the dog" problem.

On my Breakaway I am looking to increase the front weight, maybe by moving the house batteries and the inverter up there. That will improve the front/rear weight ratio a lot.

There have been times on road swells like the roads to Alaska where my front tires have left the ground, forcing me to slow way down.

Also became fed-up with Kohler gen set....removed it altogether and put a plywood floor in genset compartment for some badly needed extra outside storage. Installed solar panels and 2500w inverter/charger to replace missing genset. Run a small microwave and all else with no problems. Use 4 225ah 6v. Trojans for house system. Also installed a wall mounted fanless propane heater to avoid running of main heaters. Put a mount on front to carry fairly heavy scooter and mh handling wasn't affected.
